“Prana is one of the five wind gods of the prominent wind god, Vayu.„
Enthusiasts of life, Dominique and Dimitri, both hail from Antwerp. Dimitri is a golf course architect and owns a gardening company, while Dominique works as a lawyer. Ten years ago, they purchased a small apartment in Benahavis, their beloved region in southern Spain. Over the years, they became intimately familiar with the area, renovating and selling a few properties until they finally found their dream home. Dimitri and Dominique immediately saw the potential and, within a few months, transformed this place into a charming vacation home. Casa Prana was born.
The house was renovated as ecologically as possible, using sustainable materials, enhanced insulation, and solar panels. Furthermore, all materials used come from the region. For example, the natural stones against the façades are sourced from a nearby quarry in Casares.
The garden, covering more than 2000 m², provides ample privacy and tranquility. It features a variety of fruit trees, including figs and avocados, among others.
Casa Prana primarily stands for peace and ambiance. Natural lime paint in earthy tones, allowing the walls to breathe, has been used throughout. Artworks are scattered here and there, adding to the aesthetic.
Casa Prana features several terraces, both in the sun and shade, with ample lounge and dining options, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors even in the heart of summer.
The house is equipped with all modern comforts. There is a delightful pool measuring 12,5 x 4 meters, with shallow parts to sunbathe, adorned with sunbeds, lounge sofas, an outdoor shower and umbrellas. It is a delightful spot with a spectacular view over the Mediterranean Sea, Gibraltar, all the way to Morocco, and with a view of the mountains and 'La Concha'.
If, after enjoying a few days of luxury and tranquility, you feel like exploring the nearby area, Casa Prana's location is ideal: many beaches, golf resorts, sports activities, and cultural attractions are all within a stone's throw from the house.
“Prana means breath, breathing and energy. This tranquility is felt as soon as you enter the property„
In yoga and Ayurveda, "prana" is a Sanskrit term that refers to the life force or vital energy that permeates the universe. It is a concept integral to the understanding of breath and life energy. The word 'prana' is derived from the root 'pran', which means to breathe or to live.
Prana is a vital concept in yoga and other spiritual traditions that emphasizes the interconnectedness of breath, life force energy, and overall well-being. Practices like pranayama and mindfulness are aimed at cultivating an awareness of and harmonizing the flow of prana within the body and mind.
